Teaching with AI: Strategies for Effective Classroom Use

In this workshop, we will explore practical strategies for integrating AI into the classroom, from understanding the basics of prompting to using AI tools for image generation and student-friendly resources. Learn how to effectively introduce AI concepts to students, and implement AI in ways that align with your learning goals. We’ll also cover important considerations around data privacy and responsible use of AI, ensuring that students engage with these powerful technologies safely and ethically.

Michelle is a Coding & Design Teacher and Middle School Technology Coach at Jakarta Intercultural School, with over two decades of teaching experience in international schools across the Philippines, Bahrain, Vietnam, South Africa, and Indonesia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

Michelle is passionate about fostering innovation and coding in education. She is also a deeply committed lifelong learner who is constantly seeking new and engaging ways to teach coding, robotics, and design. She believes that all students should have the opportunity to learn important digital and information literacy skills, and advocates for a positive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.
