Navigating the AI Classroom: A Research Based Approach
In a world where AI whispers answers into our students’ ears, are we inadvertently erasing the learning journey itself? This session applies posthuman research methods using Marshall McLuhan’s Laws of Media as a compass to chart the uncharted waters of AI in education.
Through the lens of McLuhan’s tetrad, we’ll examine how AI simultaneously enhances, obsolesces, retrieves, and reverses aspects of traditional education. Are we amplifying our students’ cognitive abilities, or unknowingly amputating essential skills?
