Harnessing AI to Transform Student Writing: Using Generative Technology and Virtual Worlds to Inspire Creativity

In this session, we’ll explore how AI-driven generative tools, such as the AI Virtual Space Generator and CoSpaces, can be used to enhance student writing through immersive learning experiences. We’ll share how 4th-grade students created virtual fantasy worlds, adjusted their writing based on the worlds they built, and then published and presented their work within these AI-generated spaces. Join us as we walk through the successes and challenges of this approach, sharing practical examples of what worked—and what didn’t—along the way. Participants will also have hands-on time to explore these tools and discuss how they might apply them in their own teaching contexts.
