How Efficient, Creative and Responsible AI Use Can Transform and Augment High School English Learning

I will be demonstrating tried and tested approaches to integrating AI in English language and literature teaching, and showing my audience how these methods and experiences have materially improved ongoing engagement and the academic outcomes of high school English students.

Jen Chan is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Genesis Learning, an innovative education company with a mission to equip K12 students and teachers with efficient, creative and responsible AI skills for greater learning engagement and improved academic outcomes. Her team offers a range of AI-augmented learning programmes for students between 10-18 years old, teacher training for innovative human-AI co-learning curriculum development and parent AI awareness talks. She has 10+ years of I/GCSE, A-Level, IB and AP teaching and curriculum development experience, and was previously an AI transformation leader for corporate innovation at a Big 4 organisation. Jen has written a research paper in collaboration with the Cambridge Judge Business School on the impact of gen AI for K12 education in the next decade, and has written bespoke curriculum for high school teachers in the UK and college professors in the US, and have published numerous study guides for GCSE, A-Level and IB exam takers. She has a First Class BA/MA in English from the University of Oxford, and a postgraduate degree from the Cambridge Judge Business School.
