Empowering Young Learners: Student Use of AI in the Elementary Classroom
This interactive session invites educators to explore practical, age-appropriate ways to integrate AI into elementary classrooms to empower students and boost teacher productivity. Focusing on grades 2–5, we’ll introduce a curated set of student friendly AI tools that enhance core subject learning. Educators will also discover time saving AI workflows for lesson planning, differentiation, assessment, and feedback. We’ll highlight simple assessment strategies and ways to align tools with curriculum standards. Through hands-on exploration and live demonstrations, participants will test tools, evaluate classroom fit, and adapt ideas to their school contexts. The session emphasizes concrete takeaways: ready-to-use activities, implementation strategies, and resources to support immediate classroom use with potential long-term integration. Leave with practical examples and confidence to introduce AI responsibly and meaningfully to young learners while reclaiming valuable instructional time.
