AI as a Feedback Coach
What if AI helped students think more clearly rather than thinking for them?
Drawing on current practice in a Grade 3 PYP classroom, this interactive workshop explores how AI can function as a feedback coach rather than an answer generator.
Participants will experience authentic tasks as students, by explaining their reasoning through:
- Voice
- Drawing
- Writing
receiving immediate feedback and revising their responses.
They will then shift to the teacher perspective to examine how these responses reveal student reasoning, misconceptions, revisions and class-wide trends.
Using Snorkl as a classroom case study, the session will explore principles for designing effective tasks, shaping success criteria and reviewing AI feedback to ensure it encourages clarification, correction and deeper thinking without giving away the answer.
Participants will apply these principles to their own contexts and leave with practical strategies they can adapt across subject areas and throughout K–12.
