Finding Our Unique Voices: An AI-Powered Multimodal Storytelling Workshop

This hands-on workshop explores how AI and multimodal storytelling can support young learners in developing creativity, confidence, and voice within the IB PYP theme How We Express Ourselves.

Rather than focusing on AI as a stand-alone tool, the session positions it as a creative partner that helps students generate ideas, experiment with language, and express meaning through sound, image, text, and performance. Participants will experience a practical learning journey from story structure and oral storytelling to multimodal creation, including AI-supported music, visual storytelling, and short video production.

The workshop will also model how teachers can use a combination of mini-lessons, guided practice, collaborative creation, and individual conferences to support differentiation. Participants will leave with adaptable planning ideas, classroom-ready activities, and strategies for using AI responsibly to enhance student agency, imagination, and communication.

The session is designed for PYP educators across language backgrounds and curricular contexts. It can be adapted for multilingual classrooms, storytelling units, and inquiry-based learning environments.
