The conference was an eye opener in many ways. It was my first conference on AI and I was able to see how AI can be used as a thought partner with implementation of relevant frameworks. The presenters were very clear in conveying their ideas and it was also a great opportunity to network with like-minded individuals who care about the future of education.

AIFE is amazing! All the insights, practical ways of implementation, and takeaways are really useful for me as a Digital Art teacher. I am returning to my school with so many practical ways of incorporating AI in lessons, and I can’t wait to share it with my colleagues.

Make your case to your school administrator – take a look at this document that we’ve prepare to build your case towards attending the this annual AI & the Future of Education conference. After the inaugural edition in November 2024 in Bangkok, now we’re full speed ahead for November 2025 in Jakarta, and April 2026 in Yokohama.

This letter covers details about the conference, from track record of previous conference, to tips on budgeting, conference venue and transportation suggestions for the conference.

I am writing to request your approval to attend the AI & the Future of Education (AIFE) conference, which will be held at Yokohama International School, Japan from 10-12 April 2026.

A little bit of background about the AIFE conference, after its first successful appearance in Bangkok back in November 2024 and Jakarta in 2025, this conference is now coming to Japan to bring together EdTech leaders, educators and fellow AI enthusiasts that are eager to make a difference in the future of education.

The details for the upcoming event are still coming together but information on the previous event in Jakarta gives you a good sense of what to expect:

  • A total of 250+ attendees from a 20+ countries for the three days of pre-conference workshop and main conference days
  • 30+ sessions of in-person sharing, including a one-day pre-conference workshop, two days of main conference sessions that include Think Tank sessions, Research Sharings, Book Talks, Model Lesson Sharings, Deep-dive Workshops – all focusing on AI in Education!
  • 30+ international experts spoke at #AIFE25. We’ve welcomed AI experts from all across the globe at AIFE 2025, this includes speakers from China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, UAE, USA, and Vietnam.
  • Close to 40 hours of AI-related professional learning over the 2.5 days (pre-conference and main conference days). Talk about the continuous learning opportunities for educators!

I believe that attending this conference would be a valuable professional development opportunity for me. I would have the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading educators, and I would be able to bring back new ideas and strategies that I could use in my classroom.
