Trust First: Guiding Students Toward Ethical Generative AI Use in the Classroom
My goal is to show share my classroom-tested approach for fostering ethical AI use through open communication, transparent expectations, and shared responsibility between teacher and student. I want to share my “Trust + Transparency” framework where rules are co-created with my students. I will ensure to bring adaptable strategies for my attendees so they can also build a culture of AI transparency and accountability, design their assignments that incorporate AI while maintaining academic integrity, and use the student-teacher trust as the foundation for technology integration.
