AI Implementations for Autistic Students & SEN Learners

The presentation is an Action Research paired with theoretical models of how AI is used for Curricular & Therapeutic Development of Autistic Students in Higashi Autism School, New Delhi.

The slide deck will answer pedagogic, curricular, and co-curricular questions through elaborate info and reveals on the following:

I. How AI is used for preparing TLMs by Special Educators for diverse age groups and levels.
II. How AI is used by Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to build pragmatic communication, social interactions, trigger sound production, and train for phonics.
III. How hi-tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) is becoming the voice of non-speaking autistics.
IV. How AI is used by Occupational Therapists (OTs) to develop Sensory Integration, tolerance, and emotional regulation strategies.
V. How AI is used by OTs to develop higher order Executive Function skills.
VI. How OTs, SLPs, and Special Educators are using AI tools to record, report student development, and guide parents.
VII. How AI has been integrated into The Daily Life Therapy Method.

The presentation will help Educators learn about the accommodations and result-oriented strategies they need to adopt for fostering inclusions in their classrooms and schools.

Dr. Rashmi Das owns and leads assets in the sphere of Autism Education, Therapeutic Services, and Professional Development through her school, the Higashi Autism School (https://hasdelhi.org), based on The Daily Life Therapy method of Dr. Kiyo Kitahara. She holds a Ph.D in International Relations from the Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is also a media leader, owning two industry-leading sectoral magazines – TelecomLive & InfraLive – and has more than 25 years of experience in financial news reporting.
